I’m sick of honing them by hand, what’s a good commercial/electric type? Have heard Cabela’s might have some good ones???

My brother-in-law has one that he says is the best he has ever had. Cost about $100.00. Will try to get the name of it.

I have a chef's choice. It has given me years of good service.

I use a stone for my Globals.

chefs choice, several different models, mine is either the 120 or 130 I don't remember and I got it on ebay. Conninessur and Chefs mags have reviews and reccomendations. Mine is like 6 years old too by the way.

I inherited my Chef's Choice. They work that well. Mine is probably 12-15 years old.

I have a Chef Choice, but since I use my steel almost every time I use my knives, I rarely use it.

I studied and bought the Chef's Choice 1520.
It will sharpen 20º(european) and 15º(asian) as well as the Japanese single angles....very easy to use and does a great job in a very short time.

I know I will probably get blasted for this but,
I bought one of theses and I tell ya I was very suprised at what it will do. It was only $10! run your knife through it a few times then hit it with a steel, put a very nice edge on the blade. I sharpen everything from my Heinkels to my Benchmade pocket knife with this thing. I was fisrt sceptical about puting my expensive blades on it but it works for me.
