Anybody got any good reviews for this place? Landing in Dallas on Friday and noticed this place bc it's close to my hotel plus it's BBQ

Worth the trip? Or is there something better in the area?

Go to Pecan Lodge if you have the time for lunch.

Katy Trail is a cool spot, for sure.

Like others have said, its a good spot to sit, have a beer, a sandwich, and people watch.

The food isn't bad at all, but if you want top notch BBQ, I'd look elsewhere (Pecan Lodge being #1).

Their food was pretty good and a decent beer selection. When I am in Texas/Oklahoma, I go there for sure. The outside patio is dog friendly and my bulldog puppy loves it there.

It's definitely worth a visit if you're going to be close by, especially if the weather is nice, but do not go just for the BBQ. They've got good burgers, nachos, etc. and plenty of beer choices but the BBQ alone is not worth making a trip for if that's what you're craving. The patio and girls on the other hand...

ETA: Pecan Lodge and Lockhart Smokehouse are going to be your best bet for good BBQ downtown.

The weather will be nice so it will be asses to elbows.....but yes, the scenery. Go for a stroll on Katy trail too. I fall in love every 100 feet or so. Like others have said, hit Pecan Lodge in deep Ellum. They have a nice patio as does Brain Dead Brewing across the street and Cold Beer Company down the street. Scenery won't be as good though. The other great outdoor place is Truck Yard off lower Greenville. They have good Philly Cheese Steaks and 3 or 4 food trucks parked in the back yard. It will be crowded too.

It will be packed if the weather is nice on a Friday. Nice scenery. Food isn't bad but if you want BBQ, go to Pecan Lodge. It isn't that far...short uber ride.

Same here. He's just like us!

OP, yes it's definitely worth checking out. Good beer selection, nice outdoor area, rich sloots all over the place. I'd also go check out The Rustic as well.

It will be packed if the weather is good. Their food is pretty good, but most people go there for beers and hanging out. Like many have said, if your main attraction to this place is BBQ, go to pecan lodge. Some of the best in the world IMO.

I daresay the best patio in Dallas all things considered. "Patio" is putting it lightly though... it's pretty big.

Don't expect an awesome BBQ experience. Go to pecan lodge if that's the goal.

Yep. He was at a table with his entourage just checking his phone and ignoring everyone like a boss.
