I've posted this before and got a lot of down votes because I didn't show pics.

1/2lb filet mignon (these were small pieces the butcher had in the case)

2 bunches of kale, de-stemmed, washed dried, toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder

Lay kale on cookie sheets in singe layer, bake at 400 deg for about 10 mins, until crispy, turning them several times.

Thinly slice the cooked filet

Put slices on the kale and add bearnaise sauce

I'm a cheap a-hole, so I would have trouble putting filet mignon on top of kale chips. That's some shite I would sear in a cast iron skillet and eat rare with potatoes and lots of good red wine.

Trust me, I love a good filet, potato, and wine. These four steaks above were only about 2oz each. I cooked them in about 4 minutes.

These guys at work are not too keen on trying new stuff. They went crazy over this app. I don't think any of them ever had kale.

We are having filets, asparagus, and sweet potato fries for dinner later tonight.

That looks great. Steak and potatoes gets mundane(not that there's anything wrong with it).

Always try something new.

I agree. I don't understand the 'filet must be pure or it's done wrong' mentality. Why not dress it up and try new things? Isn't that the point of food preparation and dining?

If you invited me over and served this I would eat it and thank you greatly. For real.

You ruined the steak by putting sauce on it.
