Not Albasha and not Kamals.
It was from Rende's which is a gas station located on Hwy 44 in Gonzales.
I was told to try this place. I was skeptical being that it's located in Rende's gas station. All I can say is wow. I went in with modest expectations and was blown away.
I have had chicken Schwarma at most all the Baton Rouge area places and usually it's about the same as far as flavor. Same thing with the rice they usually give you. This place puts a lot more spice on their food. The schwarma was moist and very spicy. It was immediately obvious to me that it was a different kind of Schwarma as soon as I started eating.
Then I dug into the rice and to my delight I found they had cooked it with some sort of seasoning. Like the chicken it was spicy as hell.
I talked to the manager and he told me he takes special care making all the items for the menu and uses a family recipe.
Definitely try this place if you are in the Ascension area. Don't be scared off because it's in a gas station.

Some Lebanese men took over that Tiger gas station on Lee and told me they were going to start doing food once they get the kitchen finished, but I see the place is now closed down. I was excited for good gas station Lebanese.

I have no affiliation to the business.

Good to know. I'll have my brother scope the place out and report back if legit.

It's legit. We eat there often.

It is fine for what it is, but I wouldn't call it the best and I wouldn't drive there to get it...
