Me too! Great idea.

exactly
Everyone loves Dom, but he's been given too many chances. He's shown some growth but not enough.

The judges were (based on what we saw) split down the middle with Bobby and Giada liking Dom, and Susie Fogelson and Bob Tuschman favoring Eddie.
I said, Well, I guess we'll see if it's the talent or the suits who are running this show. Suits won, as you would guess.

Finally got to watch this episode
The Louisiana bias is strong here.
For all these weeks Jay was tailgate guy and now not?
Eddie really fell off this week. He's great but what's the show? I almost always have a big pork chop on Halloween though.
Around the world via the sandwich sounds pretty interesting.

Halloween was a tough one. I'd have wanted to do gumbo or chili, neither of which would have been very good in that short period of time, if at all. Those are the things we usually have out for Halloween unless all the food is for the kiddies. Maybe some adult type of pigs in a blanket with puff pastry. I can't really think of anything else. We usually just have lots of food out like a heavy cocktail party.

Good thoughts. I was thinking grab and go stuff too.

That biting her lip is very distracting. I was surprised they showed that a few times last night.
That's funny. I never once noticed the lip biting. I was too busy being distracted by her upper arms. Sorry, Demaris, but no sleeveless dresses for you!

Funny what women notice.
I also like "the awkward chef" idea. The way that guy could cook would make that really fun.
As much as I like Eddie i don't think I'd watch his show because I don't know what it is.
I wouldn't watch Arnold. I don't do "entertaining" and his shtick would get old.
if Jay does tailgating I'd be all in. If not, maybe.
I'd watch around the world via sandwiches.

Common sense won too. It was time for Dom to hit the bricks.

Hey D,
We have been watching the show every week and enjoying it. Glad to see Jay is doing well. He has a hickup now and then, but clearly will be in the final episode.
I agree with other posters though, Arnold is going to be a strong favorite with the network. With all the gender and lifestyle awareness going on in the media, they are going to keep him around almost no matter what. I don't think FN has a show with any thing like an over the top drag queen, so it will probably come down to a popularity contest rather than one of pure cooking and stage comfortableness.

Probably because I'm very self conscious of my own and I don't do sleeveless anymore. *woman of a certain age*

Yeah he's been fun to watch so far. I think he'll end up top 2 if not win it all, but Eddie is stiff competition with his natural charm and Alex has a good schtick at times that I think the network would like.

Eh, I disagree here. Nothing has pointed to the judges or network execs cutting Arnold any slack or giving him a pass due to him being gay. They are just as harsh on him as anyone else. In the end these are business people they want someone who will draw viewers. They're money-minded first of all, not SJW - I don't think they're interested in meeting a diversity quota. Otherwise they would have kept a woman around longer.

Arnold would kill it with his own show on bravo imo.

Agreed that network definitely is more apt to give someone a show based solely off of identity. But even when it comes to cooking chops and on-air personality I find Arnold to be a dud.

They always comment that his food is bland, yeah, not thanks.

I noticed her poor choice of sleeveless right away, but I moved on from that because her voice and speech annoy me and that lip biting was going on. I just don't think she's a very good FN candidate for a show, but perhaps I'm not the typical FN show watcher. I didn't like her show more than any of her other distracting issues.
Are all of the previous winners of this show still on FN? I haven't watched but maybe one other season, I don't think, and that was part of the season with the Aarti or whatever her name is.

Tailgate doesnt specifically mean for a ball game. His dish was something he ate at a hunting camp. Basically all of those things are centered around the outdoors. Just think of him as the exact opposite of Arnold.

Yup. It's called the Sandwich King and he already has a show on FN. Jeff's personality is head and shoulders above Alex's.

No... most aren't. A few have (or had) shows on the Cooking Channel though... and a few are still on Food Network.
The last two winners haven't done anything.
