Would you be so kind as to give some proportions for this?
No problem!
- two bags of tri-colored slaw
- one medium onion (chpped)
- one meddium bell pepper (chopped)
- 4 garlic cloves
- half a habanero (diced with seeds and veins removed)
- 1/4 teaspoon of allspice (stuff is pretty potent)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup of water
Sauteed onion and pepper in a little bit of olive oil. Added the garlic and habaenro and cooked for another 1-2 minutes. Added the bags of slaw and cooked until it started to soften (maybe about 5 minutes). Then added the water and allspice, reduced the heat to a simmer, and let cook for about 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper as needed.

Red Stick Spice is becoming one of my favorite stores.
They're a great resource. They sell all those good spice mixes and they'll sell you dried spices in whatever measurement you need. It's so nice to roll in a place and buy a half teaspoon of a spice you need, instead of getting a big bottle you'll never use.
