Are they unrelated?

No relation. Wayne Jacobs is run by the Rauch family. Good people.

Of Jacob's, Bailey's and Wayne Jacobs, I give Wayne Jacob's the edge on Andouille. When it comes to Tasso there is no comparison to Wayne Jacob's. Their cracklins are my favorite....Only available on Tuesday's...sometimes Thursday's. Better get them fast. They don't last long.

Ditto this! I also really like their smoked chickens. I wish WJ's smoked sausage was better. I have to drive to Don's in Reserve to get good smoked sausage.

Jacob's andouille is the best, the hogshead cheese is good sometimes, it's inconsistent, sometimes the hot is mild, sometimes the hot is very, very hot. The tasso is good, smoked sausage is terrible (casing is too tough), the smoked chicken can be very dry, the chicken andouille is pretty good, never had the cracklins. I never buy cracklins unless they are hot, room temp they are terrible.

I can't ever leave without buying a pack of those little slim jim things, delicious.

I've had Jacob's and Wayne Jacob's Andouille...I prefer Jacob's just a bit more...both are top notch.

Great Rec. Everything I've had from there is excellent.

ust wondered if they had something awesome that wasn't raved about as much, a hidden gem of sorts.
I think their tasso is the best around. Very smokey and pretty spicy.
