Haven't had a chance to go by there yet. What do they sell? Can't find a website, nor much of a facebook page.

I'm looking for some fresh pork belly to make bacon, and eventually, want to find some fresh pork shoulder.

They sell every part of a cow and pig. If you want it, they'll cut it for you. They definitely have plenty of pork belly.

Great news! I'll be stopping by there sometime this week. They don't happen to sell cure salt over there as well do they?

Also, do they have they sell different hogs or is it just cuts of the hog? Just curious if i'm buying berkshire, duroc, etc...

This is going to be my secondary hobby behind brewing.

No clue on this. But considering they cure meats over there, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd sell the salt.

I think all their pork is berkshire but i'm not 100% on that. i know that's all i've ever bought from them at the Farmers Market

Been twice since they've opened.

Got a roaster chicken. Very much exceeded my expectations.

Last week, got a tri-tip and grilled it, then put in oven until it was about 130. One of the best meats I've ever cooked.

Been up in there 3 or 4 times. Every time I go, there are different cuts and they will cut to order if you give them a head's up.

They do a different sandwich every day. closed on Mondays I think.

I heard the tri-tip was butchered poorly and looked nothing like tri-tip?

All of the meat and poultry is what he raises. He isn't buying anywhere else. I believe his pigs are all Berkshire but he might have added others recently.

He has good butchers so not sure the complaint on the tri tip. I have one in my freezer and it looks like the one posted. Prices are about in line with Whole Foods maybe just a bit more but his farm is in Kentwood so I'll pay for that.

His chickens are very good. He went up to $4.50 a pound but I'll pay that anytime. He has fresh pork belly, chicken feet and blocks of pork fat you can render to make lard. Do that and make a biscuit with it and you will toss Crisco away.

You can get curing salt at Wal Mart.
