I can make pulled pork in a crock pot and that's about it. Any suggestions?

I'd find the local grocery ads and see what proteins are on sale then Google a crock pot or slow roasted recipe for that food.

Adjust as you see fit. That would give you a nice variety and expand your cooking horizons.

I usually do low for 8-9 because I turn it on before I go to work.

Red Beans and Rice

1 pound dried and rinsed red beans
1 pound sliced smoked sausage
1 container of precut trinity
4.5 cups of water
2 bay leaves
Garlic powder and Tonys to taste

Throw all ingredients in crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours. Stir the pot. Take a few beans out of the pot and mash in a bowl. Return mashed beans to pot for creaminess and cook another 30 minutes until desired consistency is reached.

That might be the best advice anyone has given me in years. Thank you.

We do Mississippi roast too, but we use water and we use the pork gravy packet. I like it better than the onion soup. The water is a must because I dip my sandwich.

There are many crock pot/slow cooker threads you can also search. Here's a google page for the ones with "crock pot" in the titles.
