Or even a beer with hints of vanilla?
I've been curious to try one, but have never been able to locate it.

Yeah, lots of porters have a vanilla flavor.

Never had just a 'vanilla' beer, but I'm sure it's possible.

Definitely. A lot of bourbon barrel aged beers get hints of vanilla, Mikkeller does a beer called Beer Geek Vanilla Shake, there's also the Horny Goat Black Vanilla IPA. Both have been available in BR at some point.

karbachs BBH series also has a vanilla. Avery has a vanilla. I want to say Breckenridge has a vanilla porter that I see all the time here in Houston.

This looks delicious. How do I know when it is available?

Best guess, call Bin-q or Calandro's and see if they have any.

There is an award winning porter produced right there in BR that has vanilla in it

Yeah, but last time I went by Running Monk Brewing I was told to get off the lawn.

Such weird hours at that place. You never know when they'll be open.

Highland Cold Mountain has pretty noticeable vanilla...more than anything else I've tried. Probably can't be found outside of Asheville in November/December,though.

Thanks for the leads. I'm going to go to the liquor shop and see if they have any or can order some of these

This shouldn't be a question, it should just be assumed that if there is a decent flavor, some hipster has tried to make beer out of it. LoL
Got to admit, they have made some decent beers though.
