What is the Attraction - $10/$12/$14 for a Slab of Ground Meat, between a Top and Bottom of Uneventful Bread, with the Usual Drab Additives and Condiments.
If you catch Burger King at the right time, it will hold up against any of the "Elitist" Places.
And if you Praise Judice Inn of Lafayette, please don't Contribute.

I stand by My Statement.
I stand by it too.
I've had some truly epic Quarter Pounders in my day.

Look at all the burger mavens in here.

I agree that there are too damn many high priced burger joints now but burger king does not compare favorably to any of them.
First off, BK has horrific service and dirty stores. Second the lettuce at burger king is almost always nothing but wilted white chunks.
I actually prefer the flame broiled burger but the terrible service, unclean stores and shameful toppings make BK pale in comparison to the higher priced joints.
Heck Phil's Grill is far superior and not that much more expensive.

Not enough "Mavens".
I was remiss: I need to include Checkers, and Wendys, also. At the Right Time, they are as good as the "Five In-And-Out Guys".

While I agree that there is a lot of puffery over 'gourmet' hamburgers (i.e. Curbside), I reject the idea that a BK or Wendy's burger is equal as a gustatory experience.
If you want to demonstrate this to yourself, eat one of the fast food burgers by itself, no bun, no condiments, just burger. Unless you are a survivor of a chlorine gas mishap and have lost your sensory abilities, your likely reaction will be "what is this crap".
As to the title question, are there too many burger joints? Let the free market decide that.

I really don't want to know what else you consider to be good food if your taste buds praise a BK burger.
