I didn't think so.

I am really wanting to do beef wellington this year. I also want to find a good Christmas punch recipe.

I've also always wanted to try a Christmas goose.

I tried a Christmas goose one time. I was frying turkeys and figured I would try one in the fryer. That was the nastiest thing I’ve ever served. I spit out the one bite I took. The meat is so dark that it’s black. It tasted like liver. Nasty.....

That is what I've heard, which has always stopped me from trying it. I just feel like I need to do it just to say I did it

Go for it! Just make sure you have that Wellington and a turkey prepared first, because I guarantee none of your guests are going to eat that goose.

It's goddamn October 9th. I wish I could downvote you more than once.

You are what's wrong with the world.

Sorry, I am one of those people who gets so annoyed by the Christmas commercials that start in October that I can't even enjoy the holidays.

There are two major holidays before Christmas, can't we just enjoy those first?

I'm going to do a deboned turkey with a crawfish cornbread stuffing and cook it on the smoker. Haven't figured out if I will do it for Thanksgiving or Christmas. But yeah this 93 degree weather has me in the Holiday mood

I understand.

I just get extra excited to plan Christmas dinner because it's the only one of the major holidays where the menu changes year to year (at least in our family)

Our tradition is Red beans and rice for Halloween

Traditional disgusting thanksgiving food. Ugh

Spinach madeleline and white Chocolate bread pudding are always my contributions for Christmas lunch.

Fair enough. Our family does the same thing every year, though I haven't been home to enjoy it in a few.

We always do grillades and grits. Extremely unconventional, but I defy anyone to tell me it isn't amazing.

Haven’t decided Christmas Day yet, we have started doing crawfish etouffee Christmas Eve since having Christmas at our house.

Did a tasting menu last year for Christmas night, ends up being so much work I think I’m going to pick just 1 protein to try and do this year and let the rest of the family do sides.

We have something (whatever) for Halloween - maybe burgers - maybe pizza.

We have roast turkey, cornbread dressing, green beans, cranberry jelly, candied sweet potatoes, corn, yeast rolls, sweet potato pie and pecan tasseys for Thanksgiving (because I get to choose).

We have lasagna, salad, yeast rolls, usually key lime pie and pecan tasseys with NY cheesecake in reserve for Christmas (because our two sons get to choose).

This. Leave it to Christians to turn a birthday into a quarter of a year.

I'm with you in planning. No worries. We don't vary much on Thanksgiving which is fine with me. Love the food.

We have Christmas gumbo Christmas night. We have a big open house Christmas Eve and I'm already thinking about that and the Thanksgiving Bloody Mary morning party.

Also Christmas breakfast.

What is the matter with you people? This board has a weird hatred for Thanksgiving food.

I fricking love Thanksgiving food. So much so that at times during the year I'll randomly smoke a turkey or make a side dish that we only get at Thanksgiving.
