Now that Lagunitas opened a Chicago Brewery, Goose Island isn't the Bog Dog in that town anymore.

Goose islands regular line up sucks, their speciality beers is where its at.

As someone else stated, they make good stouts.

Their "hoppy beers" aren't worth a shite.

GI specialties >>>> Lagunitas

And truthfully, there are other breweries in Chicago that are better than Lagunitas as well. Revolution and Half Acre both come readily to mind.

While I do like a number of beers Lagunitas puts out, they aren't even remotely close to GI in the specialty beer categories like the entire Bourbon County line up.

Lagunitas wins the regular lineup beers, especially IPAs, no doubt, but GI runs away from them when talking about the heavy hitters.

Yep, and don't forget Pipeworks

IMO there isn't a single style of beer that Lagunitas makes that another Chicago brewery doesn't do as well or better.

Pipeworks is another great one. And I feel like there's another brewery about 30 mins away from the Chi that makes one or two decent beers.
