I've noticed that when I drink IPA beer, which I enjoy, that my expelled gas tends to be particularly offensive smelling. This is unfortunate for several reasons. Does anyone else notice this?

Btw...I apologize for the subject and am crying laughing in embarrassment but its a legit question nonetheless.

I haven't noticed that either. And my ipa consumption has gone up dramatically recently.

If there is a beer in your fart, let it out.

If it makes a difference, the IPA's I choose tend to be those that are 7% ABV or above beers...

Check your solid food consumption? It's not the IPAs.

Live yeast in beer can cause gas. But most styles of craft beer have live yeast with Belgians probably having the most yeast. Do you drink other craft beer styles without having this issue?

According to my former coworker, craft beer is a major contributor to my intensified smells. It didnt seem localized to IPAs, but instead was noticed on any maven-rich night.

When I got on my homemade pizza kick a few months back he appreciated a friendly heads up when I had beer and pizza night, that combination was a game changer in our tiny office.

Drinking a lot of lactose/sweet stouts really irritates my stomach and leads to some seriously foul smelling and copious amounts of gas.
