People are talking it up but I just feel like it would take up space in my cabinets. I don't see what it does that I cannot live w/o.

This is probably what would happen for me. I have a nice slow cooker, and I use it on occasion, but not often. Although I almost pulled the trigger on this, I just don't know that I would use it that often.

I'll replace my rice cooker with this and see what happens. I pretty much needed a new one anyways. If it cooks rice well and steams fast, then great. If that causes me to try some other things, I'm game. Worth a shot at that price.

No. I do not either. I just boil my rice, pasta style, in a pot of water. Works for me.

Probably not. I like Brown Rice or Sushi grade out of a cooker though, just always better. White/Basmati certainly done traditionally.
