Most local groceries are selling all the expired eggs and bacon on the cheap.

Two places overrun with the plant crowds in the AM. The first is off of Scenic just past by a bit the Harmony Construction building. The second is down Hwy 30/Nicholson at the second red light in St Gabriel at the gas station on the left. Both of them maybe off your beaten path, but for the price paid well worth the rides.
