I have a 10 year-old Weber Summit grill. Last year, they replaced the hood, when the lip of it corroded. This week, they are sending me a new cook box, flavorizer bars, burners, and assembly because I have a nickel sized hole in the cook box.

I grill 3-4 times a week. After 10 years, it's not surprising to see that I have burned through the box. It just never ceases to amaze me that they ship me new parts, no questions asked - they don't even ask me to give proof of the problem. They just say, "No problem, we'll ship it out today.".

With a new hood and new cook box, I basically have a brand new grill.

I'm a big fan. Have a 22" kettle that's been rocking for almost 10 years. Sits outside in the weather 24/7. Also bought my dad a WSM for Christmas this past year. I love it.

That was Arnold. Not to be confused with Webster. Not to be confused with Weber...

Nah, just dicking around instead of working. On topic, I've had a 22" Weber kettle for several years. It's a jewel.

Got my WSM last year and think it may be one of the best investments I've ever made.

I agree. The only way it could have been better is if I had gotten the 22" instead.

I'm still a Weber noob, but I've been very impressed with my 22" kettle. Done both 600+ degree steaks and low and slow smokes. Much better than the old wally world specials I used to use until the rusted out in a couple years.

Is there a lifetime warranty on weber grills?

I have a Weber gas grill, a 22.5 WSM, a 22.5 silver kettle, and two 14" Smokey Joe's.

I mostly use the gas grill for drinks and pans when I am using the charcoal grills/smoker to cook.

The oldest of the Smokey Joe's is used to put the chimney starter on the cooking gate when firing the charcoal for the WSM.

Question: Jax-Tiger, I have my gas grill's front-end sitting on two bricks because the frame above the wheels rusted through. Do you think Weber would send a new frame? Can you remove the cooking portion from the frame?

Sort of. They generally won't replace the grates but they will replace just about any other part of the grill. I have a 7 year old spirit and just last year I called them to see about ordering new parts and they sent me new flavorizer bars, an electric igniter and a thermometer for free. I even tried to pay for them and they said no.

Exactly.
I may get one in the future and either keep my 18" or sell it.

I think they mostly have a 10 year warranty.

As long as it is in warranty, and I suspect there is probably a lifetime warranty on the frame. It won't hurt to call the customer support number and find out.

One of the burner tubes on my Weber Genesis had a very small crack in it. I called Weber to get the correct part number so I could make sure I bought the right one.
The customer service rep said that she would ship me out a complete set of burner tubes at no charge.

Got them in 2 days.
