Got one of these on a flight last week. Never heard of them before but, sweet baby Jesus, are they awesome. Do yourself a favor and buy a case.

It's basically caramel between two thin, soft waffle cone-type crusts.

They are insanely awesome.

They taste even better when fresh in the Netherlands.

When I lived there, I fell in love with all their snack/desserts, especially things like stroopwaffels, poffertjes, and mergpijpjes.

Right next to the Yeti tumblers

ETA: Haven't been back to BR yet so I don't know. I've seen them at a few gas stations in AZ.

They sell them at every World Market. There's a caramel, honey, and syrup variety.

They're great if you rest one across the top of your cup of coffee and let the steam heat up the caramel inside. Very nice.

I lived in Amsterdam- in the Oud West neighborhood.

I could walk to Vondelpark and easily bike ride to the city center.

Loved Amsterdam. Never got further west than Neiwzuids voorburgval. Did tour the windmills in Volendam.

I lived a two hour train ride east in Enschede. About the size of Lafayette. Last stop before the German border.

I ate enough fresh pastries there to last a lifetime, not to mention frikandel and kaas soufflé

My sister in law lived in Norway for a few years and they used to fly in to Amsterdam. She would always bring Stroopwafels back. They are fantastic.

I was lucky enough to have a friend with me in Amsterdam who introduced me to these things. They are amazing.

Bizarre Foods is in Amsterdam... the fresh ones made on the street look mind-blowing.
