Sorry you had a poor experience. In general, the place is pretty darn good.

Of course, I met someone who had an awful experience at Peche and said they'd never go back (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE IF YOU'RE READING THIS), so...

At least I gave Ballsack a 2nd shot.

I've eaten CP2 twice since it opened. First time was to go for lunch. Got the pork belly sandwich. The sandwich was very tasty. The chips were pretty terrible. Went again last Saturday night. Group of 4. $24 Charcuterie board and oysters to start. Charcuterie board was ok. Nothing to write home about. Oysters were good, just needed to be seasoned better and a couple were pretty chewy. My SO and I ordered the brisket sandwich and the sticky wings. I read a lot of hype on here about the brisket sandwich. It was ok. Brisket, horseradish, bun. Those chips are God aweful. Burnt and saltless twice in a row. Next time I'll just order a side. The sticky wings were good. Sauce had a distinct flavor I couldn't place. Hot and crunchy. Friends got the brisket and some tomato and something salad. The salad looked rough. She seemed to just pick out some things in it. 2 rounds of drinks each. Bill was a little over $150. I like the place and really hope it does well. Service was definitely understaffed and struggling, but I don't really go out for great service. It will be a good place for a few of their items. Hope they keep it together.

Hopefully the owners read this thread and try to fix the chip problem. Not good if the side item that comes with all your sandwiches sucks.

One guy said the chips are too salty; one guy said they were saltless. Not sure what the owners are supposed to glean from that

The night I went I saw a friend at the bar afterwards who mentioned the chips being meh. Maybe just people being picky.

I liked the food and definitely want to go back and get the other sandwiches I haven't had.

Atmosphere is good and the beer prices are more than fair. If the quality keeps up, the place will do very well.

One thing they need to fix though are the barrel high top tables. The barrel is way too big and offers little to no leg room. A few of my friends who are in the 6'0-6'5 range would have a rough time having a comfortable dinner. When my gf, who is under 5'0, is uncomfortable at the table, its a problem. The seats at those three high tops are also too tall. The barrel table is cool looking but its terrible to eat dinner at.

I had them a couple of times and really like their chips. I guess if all you had before were Lays chips, you might not like them.

No, I think Chase said that the barrels were the vessel that the German potato salad came in.

You should get that next time.

Please. Don't bring that shite at me. I feel I am easily justified in my review of a place I eat. Maybe if all you have had is the burnt, saltless food your mom/wife has served you, you will most probably like them

Struck a nerve, right?

I think Lays just introduced a new flavor, crow.

You should try them out.

Tried to go on Sunday with the family. Couldn't find hours or a phone number online, so figured they'd have the same schedule as CP1. Turn out CP2 is not open on Sundays, but CP1 is?? WTF
