Only 1 lb? Just cook it. Then eat it. I recommend a BLA&T.

Google bacon marmalade.

Serve on crostini with brie and fresh basil.

If it is still sealed from the store I wouldn't worry about it for quite while.

Just cook it up and eat it. It makes for a great snack to have for later too. I had some leftover bacon for a snack this afternoon.

This. Cook it all up. You can always crumble it on a salad or in an omlette, or make a sandwich with it, or just eat a slice every time you go to the fridge. Save the grease for veggie flavorings.

Bacon-wrapped chicken breasts, green beans, stuffed (or not) shrimp, meatloaf, just about anything!

Whatever you wind up doing...use a lot of cheese.

The simple answer is a Bacon Weave....then either wrap it around something (we did a butterflied backstrap rolled with creme cheese and Jalapenos)

or use it to suffocate someone.

Bacon freezes well. Been freezing it for years. I just cut the slices in half and freeze it wrapped in wax paper. I freeze it in portion size amounts.

I was wondering why my ears were burning.

I'd cook all of it. Eat what you like today. Put the rest of the cooked bacon in the fridge and soak some beans. Tomorrow morning throw the bacon, beans and spices in a crock pot and let go all day on low.
