How does Arby's stay in business?

This isn't about the food, it's always a ghost town, even the drive thru and weekday lunch. There could be a McDonald's, Wendy's, and Arby's next to each other and the first two will be packed at peak time and Arby's will have like three people. This is in multiple locations in multiple regions of the country. Isn't the fast food business all about volume? What's their secret?

Do they or do they not have the meat?

This says more about the local population than the quality of food. Cheap asses go to McDonald's and Wendy's.
Up here in Idaho I have these same three restaurants within a quarter mile of each other and the Arby's is always packed.

I am not a fast food person but I agree with the premise of the question. Arby's is pretty bad. But then again I was in Texas two weeks ago and Jack and the Box was still there.

Posh north shore suburbs of Chicago, Bloomington Illinois, Memphis... Never seen more than 7 or 8 people in an Arby's.

Arbys is my goto. I love their arbys sauce on a classic roast beef sandwich. If you arent messy at the end, you didnt put enough sauce on it.
I wish they sold their sauce. They must intentionally not sell it.

I love it as well but you're right. The one by my house always has 1/2 cars in the parking lot, max.
I just want them to bring back the big Montana

Never understood this either. I'm not much on fast food, but seems like whenever I'd go to an Arby's, there would be no cars in the drive thru

Arby's is legit. Just had the smoke mountain sandwich with the pork belly the other day. The Arby's by me is always packed. Lots of fatties though.

I have traveled all four corners of this country for the last 30 years with my job and have pondered the same question many times. And it blows me away when I need a quick bite with my kids and they will say no to Arby's and want Taco Bell and the other places you mentioned above.
