You don't. At least i haven't seen it.

I just added it to my secondary. However, i secondaried in a bourbon barrel.

And for some reason I can't find the time to sit at all.

I need an air conditioned brew room

Trying a true full boil this time rather than a 5 gallon boil then topping off the evaporation. Will be interesting to see how close to 5 gallons I have after the boil

Hit my preboil gravity, but starting gravity in the fermenter was 1.084, was shooting for 1.088. The 90+ degree heat made the evaporation rate higher than I planned, so I had just a hair under 5 gallons go into the primary. Pitched 2 vials of yeast. Ready to go

Was fermenting at 7 AM around 12ish hours later with no starter. Using Irish Ale Yeast from White Labs.

First batch of my brewing career in the fermenter. Going to check it in the morning and hopefully some magic will have started.

Good work!
My stout has almost started pushing co2 out the blow-off tube. Should be churning by the morning.

Used the white labs Irish ale yeast too

Good work, Lafourche. If you can get that down a few more degrees, you will have excellent beer rather than damn good beer.

My Cal Common is bubbling away at 58 degrees. Probably crank it up a few degrees tomorrow. Then a few more. Them a few more. Then down to the 30s.

My saison has been chugging along since about 4 hours after pitching.

I first pitched and noticed nothing happening. I'm using wlp566, I checked my fermenting freeser temps and bumped it from 68 to 75 and shaked the fermenter. 1.5 hours later and I heard that beautiful chug coming from my blowoff tube that was in a cup of starsan.

And good job lafourche, it's always a great day when a new homebrewer starts up.

It's in my outdoor kitchen (now brewery ). I have the AC on about 66 right now. I tried blocking out all the windows with those automobile solar shields. It's just so hot I'm not sure what else to do to get it down.


Any tips?

You can use a swamp cooler if you really want to bring it down
