And don't be intimidated by the all-grain technical talk. Start with extract, and you can make plenty of tasty beer

Without a doubt.

Don't have time?

Do small batches, only 1-2 gallons

Extract is in, almost back to a boil

GOTDAMN these simcoe pellets smell good

Should have got some extra to try adding to a beer in a press

Just realized they have that kinda spicy aroma like the Zythos in LM Timber Beast. That's a great thing

Just realized something. I didn't stir my mash once i started mashing. I remember reading where it says to stir up your mash every 15 minutes to prevent cold spots and a more uniform mash.

I've got a couple ounces of Cascade left over

How long will they stay good in the fridge?

Don't really have anything in mind to brew to use them

Flavoring hop addition added

It's not beer until it ferments, but having a little wort never hurt anyone

That whole setup with brewpot and everything. About $400 i'd say. Maybe
Cooler's were $50 a piece. Brewpot was $100. All-grain conversion kit (valves and stuff) about 150-200 i think.

No you can't drink it the day you brew it. You have to ferment the sugars. That glass of runnings is unfermented wort. Or young beer. It's basically syrup, and the yeast changes the sugars to alocohol.

Done

The fermenter is in the closet with the blowoff tube connected, and everything is cleaned

Great brew day today, some perfect weather

I think I'm going to upgrade my burner soon. It's taking too long to get to a boil
