These couple beers both started out with a "Damn, that sounds good" and then evolved through "wonder how it would be with _____ instead?"
That's how I usually roll. I think I've followed a "recipe" exactly once, and I wasn't happy with the result. I'm more of a tinkerer by nature, thus all the beers I've made have had something "different" in them.

Thanks. I finished off the keg last night, cleaned the keg and line, then kegged my Belgian pale ale. I think I'm gonna like that one. It's really light in color, but it's kind of deceiving, because it ended up around 7.7%. The wife enjoyed the taste she had as well, so hopefully she will help me with it.
Gonna brew the peanut butter chocolate stout again to bring to Zapp's International Beer Fest in April.
