Well last night somebody said they didn't feel like dressing for church to go to lilette. I've never been so I don't know what it's like. I'd say you should be dressed somewhat nice to go to herbsaint, especially for dinner. August? Le Foret?

I wore "regular" jeans while sitting at the bar at Lilette last night. No one laughed or pointed at me.

it all depends on how you define dressing up and dressing for church and such. i think commanders and galitoire's are the only that may require a tie/coat. the rest probably have a more lax as long as you have pants (be it jeans or slacks) and a collared shirt.

my thing is i don't understand why some guys will put on jeans to go anywhere but can't thrown on a pair of slacks…the latter is far more comfortable and looks better, IMO. but to each his own.

I generally dress appropriately. But I was in California casual mode last night.

I went to a different church last weekend on the outskirts of town, was appalled at the lack of dress for church

Seriously, when did grown men and women start wearing shorts to someplace other than the pool, running errands, etc? If it's not golf, fishing, sports, or an ultra casual place, you should not wear shorts. How hard is it to wear pants/capris/manpris?

? I included men and women. Whatev. Americans are the worst dressed people on earth at present. Sloppy, slobby, unkempt. I don't want to see old lady upper thigh sag, young lady rear cheeks, old dude hairy knees, young dude calf tats, etc in a fine dining setting.

Linen pants, people. Get some damn linen pants.

For fricks sake...you have to be the most pretentious poster here, and that's really saying something.
