I am not really into Indian food, but I have had Bay Leaf.. and everyone says it's light years better than India's.

Once. Got the chili chicken and motherfrickers give you a thimble of water that needs to be refilled every 60 secs.

It's still a decent crowd for lunch. I order take-out from them sometimes because it's close to my house.

I've heard that Bay Leaf is better on most things, but I haven't tried it yet. The one time my husband & I went by Bay Leaf in the evening there was one car in the parking lot. We have this thing about eating in almost empty restaurants--we feel kind of uncomfortable like there must be something wrong with the place and the wait staff is sometimes too attentive.

i don't get all the Bay Leaf love on here...it's ok, but everything is a la carte. you want rice and naan (which you do...) you gotta pay extra for it. Himalaya's, just a few blocks up the road on sherwood, is where it's at.

ETA: i still eat at India's every once in a while, but it's not as awesome as it used to be. Same owner, but they must have had a much better chef in the late 90s, early 00s

I ate there in 1997. Can't remember the food. I may have had diarrhea.

I've had Bay Leaf and India's, though I ordered from the menu at Bay Leaf. Hard to say which is better because I really just don't care for Indian food. Too intense, and I always feel like shite afterwards, like I smell bad and I need to lie down.
