I have Gris Gris's ham stock rolling on the stove. Putting together the black eyed pea and andouille soup tomorrow to get ready for NYD. It was delish last year and my people said it had to be made every New Years Day from now on. Serving with some smothered cabbage and stuffed pork loin. Thanks again Gris Gris

Just remembered I put my cabbage in the soup last year. Gonna do that again. Still having stuffed pork loin though....

Glad y'all enjoyed it! That ham stick is money. I could drink the stuff straight. Made one today myself.

If the first ingredient in this is salt don't use this product for anything but tossing into a garbage can.

Without the water the first ingredient in the homemade stock would probably be salt too.

Why can't you simply leave out the salt you would have added anyway? That's what I do when I make red beans. That Goya ham concentrate is very good.
