I made a garlic, salt and pepper rub and a lemon, olive oil and oregano marinade.

Man, that looks/sounds good.

Looks damn good. Interesting take. I usually use flank steak for Hispanic style cooking so that's a fresh take. I would eat it for sure.

Looks legit, it's one of my favorite cuts of meat

Looks good, also if you are in a rush perfect cut for a board sauce.

Flank is the most underrated cut of beef

Nicely done. I want to try that.

Damn. I had a cut of flank this week that was total shite. Too thin, I tried to reverse sear it and it was tough as can be. Next time I get a good piece I'm gonna revisit this thread for a new approach. Flank can be great.

I kind of shy away from Flank because of how easy it is to be tough. This one looks good, though.

Looks awesome. Now just need some homemade corn tortillas and some salsa to wrap that bad boy up in
Some roasted potatoes and charred sprouts and I'm in heaven

Served it with roasted potatoes, grilled corn on the cob and a Caesar salad.

Not sure if you can find it in LA, but at some of the Mexican grocery stores in AZ you can find "flap meat" (I know, not a sexy name). It looks like flank steak but it's from the sirloin. It's a good alternative to flank.

Seems like a lot of work for a flank steak. Good for you.

Probably not the best choice of meat for this. I'm guessing it dried out.

I prefer food with flavor.

Like I said. Good for you. Flank steak costs more than sirloin. So you must be doing something right. I'm going to make a chimichurri tonight based on your post.

Nah. It wasn't dry. It was just super tough.
