Whole Foods has take home meals in the cooler by the sushi counter. You can always make a box from the hot food bar.

Jones and I were feeling lazy Friday night, and hit up Fresh Market.

They have a deal where you get 2lbs of buffalo wings (which is like 20-25 wings).. two sides.. and a huge loaf of blueberry cornbread for $19.

The sides are pints too. And there are different wing flavors.

We had 12ish spicy buffalo, 12ish teriyaki, a pint of homemade mac and cheese, a pint of coleslaw, and a hunk of blueberry cornbread for less than we'd ever spend getting that in a restaurant.

Obviously, there's always restaurant takeout too. Dempsey's sells their gumbo cold or hot if you want to give him something to put in the fridge.

Whole Foods pizzas are really good. And he can heat it in the oven whenever he feels like it. WF actually has all kinds of entrees in their refrigerated prepared section if you're looking for food that isn't needing to be eaten right away.

I would go to Trader Joes or Whole Foods. They have plenty of things that fit that description

Never was a big fan of fried food to go. Nothing like having hot fried food sitting in styrofoam sweating and getting soggy

Check out Tramonte's frozen section, gumbo, soups (decent variety), stuffed bell peppers, lasagna, etc. All made in house and everything I've tried has been great

Fresh kitchen. Haven't tried it yet but I've heard good things. Just opened last week by Christian street furniture on corporate. Whole foods is another good option. They have pretty decent BBQ too.

I'm not sure, years ago I used to eat lunch sometimes at the place they had across from Exxon. But I'm never in that area for work anymore so I don't know if they're still there or not. They did have great lunches and a prepared frozen section. I'm pretty sure they had another location in the Bocage area but I never went to that one.

I've only been to the Bocage one. I know that one is closed, but I am unsure about the original.

Go checkout Don Bergeron's on Jefferson near Govt.

He's got a little of everything and it's all good.

Calvin's Bocage also has good hot prepared foods.

For frozen foods, Maxwell's Market on Perkins or Corporate Blvd. has good meatloaf and other frozen food items that are very good quality.

Still there, right across from Exxon. Bocage store shut down awhile back. Slammin' seafood dressing that I get for Thanksgiving/Christmas.
