Try Dodies off Greenville (or in Addison)

used to go there a lot during crawfish season. owners are originally from south La. if i'm not mistaken. never tried their poboys. crawfish were usually solid though and i remember having some etoufee once that was good.
a lot of solid joints down there in the M streets area.

Can be good or nasty. Last time I went it was pretty bad. Ever since Dodie's started expanding w/ new places in the burbs, the quality has gone down.
Try Half Shells in Snider Plaza (by SMU). It's a chain but pretty damn good. And it has a mom & pop feeling to it.

Caught me off guard when I first moved to DFW that they season the crawfish outside the shell AFTER boiling. Couldn't figure out what the paste was all over them

The guys that own Dodies went to Rummel. I used to hang out at the original location when I lived in Dallas.
