Critic's Choice - chicken grinder or philly cheese steak

ETA: Rosie Jo's > Robbie G's

Avoid Spirit's like the plague.

I love the responses to the Alexandria "where to eat " threads. They explain so much...

Rosie Jos is closed

Spirits is great for a craft beer and a burger or salad.

If you want fancy, Bistro, Diamond Grill, or drive to Marksville for Red River Grill.

I enjoyed Diamond Grill on late Friday afternoon a few years ago. Very nice meal.

Kinda like the OP in this case. Very broad where to eat. Not one specific parameter.

In order of cost:

Bistro on The Bayou
Diamond Grill
Balino's

Verona

Tunk's
Rosie Joe's
Robbie G's

For Mexican, I'd stay away from Julias unless all you want is fajitas and a drink. Los Portalas and El Raparo(can't spell either one) are way better. Sombreros is too. I hate Julias.
