Folks,

The Missus and I are heading to New Orleans the day after Christmas for her 40th birthday. She wants to go to Lola's for dinner Saturday night and she was going to let me pick the place for Sunday night dinner. Where is a good place to go on Sunday night? Looks like a lot of stuff is closed because it's Sunday and between Christmas/New Years. Any suggestions? I'm looking for some place good, that's not wildly expensive. My first choice was Toups' Meatery. I'm more about a good meal in a nice atmosphere. If it helps, we're staying at the Bienville House on Decatur (although we'll almost certainly take Uber so we can drink)

Thanks

We went to Peche about a year ago. It was excellent.
I've never been to Drago's and we both love chargrilled oysters. That may be what we do, unless there are better suggestions.

Bacchanal if the weather is nice, but that seems unlikely.

Compere Lapin
Domenica
August
Willa Jean
Sylvain
R'evolution
Galatoire's
Arnaud's
GW Fin's
Commander's Palace
Coquette
Atchafalaya
Le Petite Grocery

All open on Sunday as far as I am aware

This is a real nice list, but you can also add Root.

I think Compere Lapin and Coquette would be your best bets.
