Taking the wife to Shaya for her birthday tomorrow. Looking at the menu, i have no idea what to get.

My experience with that region of food is albasha, serops, and a handful of other small greek/lebanese places.

Any advise? As of now the plan is to just ask the chef/waiter.

its pretty foolproof ordering

for two people, pick 3 of the "for the table"
pick one hummus
then either 2 small plates or 1 large plate
add dessert and you'll be full, and happy

This looks solid, but I prefer the curried cauliflower hummus.

Definitely get lamb.

Try the Persian Rice, too.

Only the sheep looking to be seperated from their money.

Primitivo is better.

I do like Primitivo a lot. I wouldn't say its better than Shaya though.

Sounds like you went with the most mundane thing on the menu.

Roasted chicken? Really?

Not hating on roasted chicken, just would be the last thing I would order there with the cuts they offer.

Same thing when it comes to Shaya offering their roasted chicken.
