According to their website, Martin Wine Cellar's Mandeville location still has some in stock.

They had it on tap at yesterday's Brooklyn Mash "State of Craft Beer" event at NOLA Brewing.

So good when it hits your lips...and is free.

I love tropical/hoppy IPAs with as little malt taste as possible?

Me too. This is the only type of beer I drink now. That being said, there are other alternatives that are readily available, and I don't have to put up with what is increasingly looking like a marketing ploy.

I don't live in LA, so I'm not sure what you can get. My go-to right now is Ithaca Beer Company's Flower Power, but it's not a DIPA.

I mean, I guess. But I don't see others having nearly the frenzied buzz that this one does. That being said, I will admit that I'm not really a part of the craft beer world and perhaps I spend way too much time on this board.

its a local world class DIPA, and DIPAs are all the rage right now

I think its awesome that people are clamoring for local craft beer

I don't see how it would ever be viewed as something negative

Not negative per se. Perhaps I'm just getting overly cynical. I get easily frustrated with the exclusivity pitch and rarely participate (not just with respect to beer). It's a me problem, not a you problem.

late spring/early summer. So, late May? Anyone have any more info?

The bartender at MCYC knew her stuff and she told me the same thing. I've been chasing this beer for weeks and still haven't tried one yet. Always out of stock at the stores by me and when I get tipped off about it on tap I'm usually just in time to hear they just kicked the keg. I gave up till May.
