Several page thread on the OT about it. Food sucked, way over priced, entirely too much spent on the building a couple of years ago that was not sustainable, autrocious service, excellent view of the river.

I enjoyed having drinks there. I'm sad about it. I didn't see the thread on the OT

I've had a vendetta against the entire staff there for quite some time. It was as if their GAF meter never registered when customers were there. I hated going but have been numerous times in the new location mostly due to being with others that were buying the meal and wanted the ambience of great scenery while getting fricked to tears.

The last time we had a family outing there in the summer for a Sunday afternoon, I swore I would never do it again. I never did.

This sounds like me and my relationship with Landry's. One of .Y wife's family members sometimes gives rest of family gift cards that we end up at Landry's as a group. I'm not a big fan of Morton's, but I'd rather spend the same gift cards there.

We went last summer and was jammed packed but got a table outside after waiting at bar for a bit then drank and danced downstairs. Things must've changed quickly so sad to hear. I had one of the best meals which was a huge fried chicken breast that was cooked on top of jambalaya, smothered with seafood gumbo. Can't remember what exactly called but always wanted to go back to try again.

Good news! imagine how awesome that spot could be with reasonably good food at a fair to above average price. Friends had a great location but did nothing else well enough to justify their absurd prices and horrific service...
