Anyone in the Baton Rouge area have any good IPAs they want to trade for some Pliny? I have a couple I would part with for something unique.

RR has cut back distro in the last few years... They don't distribute Pliny in bottles to Oregon, anymore, but I can usually find it on tap if I look around.

Pliny is great, but there are so many great IPAs out there that I don't see the need to seek it out. I had several Ghosts last night. That is in the same tier as Pliny...

About two months ago, my neighbor and I drank Pliny along with Ghost, Melvin 2x4 DIPA and Whole Foods DL DIPA.

Pliny came in 4th out of the 4. Not that it's swill. Still really good, but other breweries are producing stuff just as good and better.

Pliny dwarfs this and last batch of ghost, and that's a fact.

I traded the last batch of Ghost for Pliny and would never do it again. Also traded for Heady Topper, Focal Banger and Crusher. Out of all of them Crusher was the best. I don't regret it, it was really good. Just not my style of IPA.

This. Pliny is great, but the reason its a namesake is because it was revolutionary at the time it came out (the BA page was added in '03)--so many developments in the IPA category in the last 13 years.

The people here that have those beers aren't trading them for Pliny, dude. If that's your goal you better hop on Reddit or something. And don't expect to get good ratios.
