Was in the neighborhood and swung by around 11 this morning. Line out the door was about 200 deep. Roughly half camped out in lawn chairs. Just a regular Friday. Decided I'd try again when I have time to kill. What's the story on this place? Anyone been? What is recommended?

I haven't been but that is ridiculous and smells of typical Austin hype.

I was there last fall. Was in line at 10am waited for 1.5 hours...Franklin himself cuts every order by hand after you tell him what you want...brisket great, but not better than salt lick....if you go bring beer to drink while u wait..i would suggest you go for the experience...but I would not wait in line for two hours again...salt lick better experience

I haven't wasted a morning there yet...from what I hear the BBQ is good, but it is a little overhyped considering what you have to go through to get it.
