Did a search. Didn't find much
Thinking of going for lunch today. Any thoughts?

Haven't been and haven't seen anything here about so I'm interested too. Saw them on TuneIn and it looked pretty decent.

I got chicken parm. Breading falls off. Don't get bud light on draft it was flat as can be. The crawfish artichoke dip was good. Fried fish not so good. These are comments from those I was with the night I went. Lasagna was ok.

Went for lunch today. I had the 6" shrimp poboy and salad lunch combo off lunch menu. Was probably the best shrimp poboy I have eaten in Baton Rouge. Big shrimp fried well and they use leidenheimer bread.
Wife had the eggs Benedict off brunch menu. She said it was very good, just needed more hollandaise sauce. Came with potatoes and grits.
Son had kids ravioli. I took a bite and it was good.
Looking forward to going back and having the hot roast beef on french. One of the owners was a partner in Mandinas.
That's basically what Frankie Marcellos is. A spinoff off of Mandinas. I will be back for sure

Went a few weeks ago for lunch

Had the veal piccata

Huge portions for lunch IMO and I thought it was pretty good

2 guys I was with got the chicken piccata and shrimp creole

Both enjoyed it, did notice there was almost no one there though for a weekday lunch

Could be a different cook at night or it was just a bad night I went on. Glad to hear good stuff though. Might try again later on down the line.

Good turtle soup. Steaks have been good, along with the fried catfish for kids at the table. The lasagna tastes like everything in it was freshly made.

Very easy restaurant to take people with a variety of tastes. Reminds of the old Giamanco's in regards to menu offerings.

The owner and staff are personable and nice to customers.

Been several times. Pretty decent Roast Beef Po-Boy. Fries are the frozen seasoned ones. I like the food.

Place is always filled with 70+ year olds. Can't figure out why. Food is seasoned. I don't do lunch at 10 or dinner at 5:00.

It's an odd space for what they're doing, but they do what they do pretty well.

It's basically Mandina's menu, with a couple of additions.

I'd be a fan. Love me some Mandina's...but then the building/location has something to do with that.

Frankie Marcello's mom and dad (Faye and Mitch) ran a classic Mid-City breakfast and lunch counter called Bread Basket. I suspect some, if not many of those customers are visiting in honor of that place.

I had lunch there yesterday. Pretty meh and the service was horrible. But our waiter apologized and said it was his first day waiting tables and they gave him six to start. He tried and I tipped him well for his efforts. If I ever go back, and I'll give it one more shot, I'd venture to guess that dudes waiting days will be over.
