thinking about applying to be a bartender at one of the bars downtown... for those who have worked at a bar downtown, what is there to expect? Is the money worth it? I have plenty of bar experience and im just looking to get some more income flowing

just a heads up, next time you want to ask bartenders about their jobs, try to post during the day...you know, when they aren't working.

I knew some at the Loft, and Spanish Moon. If you don't do blow now, you will before its all over.

Get a white collar job. Done with work at 4-5 pm and no weekends. Plus you can't make 6 figures bartending waiting on other people and dealing with their BS.

you should know the answers to this already. Expect drunken assholes, will tip the females better. The money can be worth it if you don't have a lot of bullshite to put up with.

Try again in winter. Seriously.

Nowhere is hiring during the summer. Everyone I've seen looking for Bartending jobs has been unsuccessful. Most restaurants and bars don't need help during the summer because its the slowest time of year, combined with the fact that employees are out of school and available to work full time.

Think they have male bartenders at Red Star and Mud & Water. Although some of the guys who work there have an interest in the place.
