Planning a trip to Fort Lauderdale/Miami soon. Looking for some recommendations for pretty much anything and everything. Breakfast, lunch, dinner...casual to upscale.

Will be staying in Fort Lauderdale, but will drive to Miami for something that is worth it.

Beer destinations would be appreciated as well. Any news on when J. Wakefield will be open? The website just says Spring 2015.

My friends really liked Bazaar by Jose Andres. The menu looks crazy.

I was in Miami a couple of weeks ago. J Wakefield has already had their soft opening a couple of weekends ago and was only open Thursday-Sunday and I had to fly out on Wedensday. Tap room looks great online though.

Go follow them on Twitter and Facebook and they usually post their hours.

I second the Funky Buddha recommendation, it's a cool spot but is a bit far from downtown Miami if that's where you are staying

Yes I have. The taco trucks along south beach and there was a Cuban sandwich truck there too. Got damn that was good food. Of course I was drunk so take it for what it is. It's been a while back though. 1986-87 or so.
