Here's one of mine. We buy the natural peanut butter but the stuff on the bottom is hard and dry while there is an oil layer on top. Mixing this stuff up with a flat knife to a homogeneous consistency is a PITA and messy.

Trick - I use a 3/4" flat wood drill bit in a 18V Dewalt drill and the jar is homogeneous in about 2 min. Stays that way for several weeks.

Would like to hear of other good tricks. (Hot water in can of Vienna to get them out for example)

I think the only thing special I do is kind of roll a lemon around on the counter then throw it in the microwave for about 20 seconds. More juice will be squeezed out. At least that's what I've heard.

Get the fresh stuff from Whole Foods and you won't have that problem.

I learned about the garbage bowl on 6-7 years ago and it really speeds things up.

Best trick...keep your knives sharp.

I also julienne more peppers and vegetables than I need and keep them in ziplocs for later in the week then chop as needed.

After chopping peppers or eating crawfish, wash your hands thoroughly before going pottie.

My ninja food processor is so small and easy to clean that I throw anything that needs to be chopped in it. I can do several onions to a fine mince simply by pulsing the button 3-4 times.

I take the lid off the trash and keep the can by me.

Also I buy styrofoam/paper bowls and plates to put stuff I've chopped in so I can have everything pre-chopped and not dirty any dishes.

which one do you have? I was looking into these at BBB because I want a cheap food processor. Safe to say you like it?

I have a big bowl that I put a plastic grocery bag in. Then I can tie it up and just throw it in the outside trash.

If you wear disposable medical gloves for this, you can avoid any issues. I use them for handling meat, as well. I don't like meat stuff under my fingernails. Rip off the gloves after all of those tasks and that's it. All done. No wash. No sting. No nothing.

Microwave corn in the husk for one minute and the silks will steam off. I cook all of my corn in the microwave anyway unless I'm using it off the cob and want it uncooked when added to a dish.

Or you could just hold the bell pepper stem and slice off each of the sides leaving the stem & core intact, which is what I do.

Also, pic #3 with the knife cutting towards the hand-- .

NO oral after a crawfish boil. Learned that the hard way, no pun intended.
