re: FDB gardeners?

Damn I'm gonna have to try that around my garden. Last year I had a little yearling that was nipping on my baby squash. Took me a week, but I finally figured out what was happening. For irony sake I ate her with some stewed squash as a side.

I'm a container guy. It's about sun issues. I have a very dark, deeply forested yard. Well over 100 giant trees in 1.4 acres. So I have to move my containers a few feet each day at 3pm in order to catch enough sun.

I grow peppers, tomatoes, okra and have a rosemary plant. Haven't decided what to try next.

My GP usento grow the ugliest creole tomatoes. They were huge too. One slice would cover a slice of bread on most of them. My grandma would jar them and use that for tomato sauce. Wish I had some of his seeds but he quit gardening 20 years passed away 7 years ago. I sure do miss thaf man. He made a garden to feed his family..... not just to make a garden.

Oh, and save the root ends off of green onions. Stick em in the ground and they will happily resprout. Voila, green onion tops

Yep. Or you can stick them in a glass/cup/jar of water and in a week you'll have nice healthy green onion tops right there in your kitchen.
