NBD: Tribute from 14th Star Brewing....

been awhile since I had this one, it is dated 4/9/16 but has more malt than I remember. I looked back at Untapped and I gave it a 4.5 because it had a lot of citrus and very little malt backbone, not sure if those were fresher though.

New to this.

Is the beer much better out of the tulip glass, or any glass for that matter?

ETA: Just picked up my first 6 pack of Envie. Am I selling myself short by drinking it out of the bottle?

No

I haven't noticed a difference but I do not have a refined palate either.

glasses (especially tulips) maximize the nose so the overall experience is improved verses drinking straight out of the bottle. Make sure to look at dates on pales/ipas

Pour it in to a glass my man. It's a great smelling brew. Bottles are for pouring, not for drinking from ;)

drinking from a glass opens up so many new characters to a good beer. From the appearance to the smell there are so many more qualities to appreciate, pour it in a glass my man

we did this yesterday that Cortado was hard to beat
but the nose on the Reve is so good!

No joke about it smelling good. I usually just sit there and smell it between swigs

Ill pick up a glass and give it a go.

I had it for the first time a few weeks ago at Cochon in NOLA and they poured it in a tall slim glass, almost looked like a huge shot glass.

NBD: Patio Couch Pale Ale (Hungryfisherman's home brew)

Solid Mosaic bomb, extremely drinkable.

Reve vs. Cortado:

Not hating on Cortado because it's an awesome beer, but I give Reve the edge. I really like coffee though. Can't go wrong either way.

Sounds like it. I really struggled with my decision to not make the trip, but the timing was not good with family stuff and all.
