You've been liking things a little too much lately. In the Christmas spirit ?

Anyone here ever try anything from Pike Brewing? I noticed they had bombers of their tripel (9% abv) For $1.99 at my local shop. Figured it had to be really bad but it has an 84 on beer advocate.

The things I've had from Pike have been good. Not awful, but not something I would seek out, either. I would say that at that price point, it's a pretty good deal.

I've not tried their tripel, though.

I'm easily inspired! Getting the gumbo started for a Christmas party tonight. Life is good. Good day, friends.

I am wondering if they were miss marked. From what I have read the bomber usually goes for six bucks. I don't think you can even get a 22oz Natural Lite for 1.99. This same store recently had Prairie bomb 4 packs marked at 14.99 .

Chicken andouille from baileys in Laplace. Don's fresh sausage is next to the cutting board.

Wasn't a bad beer. Not as hoppy as it would suggest, though. I like Olde Hickory a lot.

Pad thai looks gangsta.

I'm talking myself out of these stouts that are in the fridge. I know I need to pace myself if I'm going to have a big night at Courtyard.

What kind of stouts you got? I am always looking for new ones to try. Had an Old Rasputin for the first time last night which is now one of my favorites.

Was thinking about going there but this weather might prevent me.
