FBD is an Envie. I'm getting ready to start the first gumbo of the season.

Fresh Dankosaurai? Can only find May and Aprils around here. Going to do some soul searching next week.

No beers for me, but St. Arnold posted this. Can a boy dream for some more hometown juice?

Glad the local competition got St Arnold to step up, again.

They are literally the Parcells/Belichick tree of brewers. Almost all of the new breweries around are run by someone who worked or brewed at St. Arnold. That is really impressive

people have a lot of hot takes on St Arnolds as if they are the Abita of texas but they consistently put out good beer.

Their newest beers, 5 O'Clock Pils and Art Car, are 2 of the ones I've been enjoying the most recently. They've still got it.

The ones I buy usually have a sticker on top (just like devil's harvest) that has a best by date

I am not up for that. You will win. I am being lazy tonight and using precut veggies and jarred roux. I almost always use jarred roux. It is just oil and flour. Kary's is my preferred brand.

I just deboned 3 rotisserie chickens and the carcasses are in the stock pot. I am roasting some of the bones that I will add in about 15 minutes. I find that rotisserie chickens make a really good, rich stock.

Is it a best buy sticker or born on? I though it was born on.

And St. Arnolds does great stuff -- but adding trendy brews is a welcome addition, and as List stated, most likely spurred on by local competition.
