Something was not right with that growler. I suspect that it was off going into the growler. Nothing that you did,

Outside of my evenings in beer and stops to see scenic touristy things, I'm driving and working my arse off to understand a lot of this geology, but overall it's been great so far.

Some crazy complex things out here that really shed light on the subsurface world.

Glad you're enjoying it though. Lots more beer and lots more rocks pics to come

I hate growlers. If I owned a brewery I'd refuse to fill them. I got two 32 oz from Jax the other day and they were malt bombs. Judging by how those same beers have been received here, that's not fair to the beer. And to be fair, I held them for like 5 days. Maybe I fricked up. But if I were a brewer, I'd hate to have my beer sampled as something less than what I wanted it to be.

I am not sure. I had the same thing this weekend with a growler of yellow rose. The first two days it tasted normal...then yesterday the most vile flat no carbonation taste..the after taste was like stale ritten peanuts and it lingered for 10 seconds. Had to toss about 30 oz

I feel like I've not seen you touch any NC beers I sent you. Frankly I'm just impressed by your 1) self-control and 2) cellar space

I have touched some of them, and others I am saving. Usually, when I'm sharing with people, I don't post the pics, as I'm busy socializing, and don't stop to take pics. Case in point, when Rouge and 4Miles were here a couple of weeks ago, I probably posted 2 beers all weekend.

Those beers were definitely sharing beers. We don't see a lot of Wicked Weed up here, so they are definitely a hit with my maven friends...

the swing-top (snap top) growlers that you get from Growlers (on Waugh) are money. I haven't had a complaint yet, and they've been proven true. The guys at Growlers held beer in them for over a year and then popped/poured fresh. I have a few in NOLA right now waiting to get filled and sent back
