Least interesting DIPA I've had
2&3
Mississippi Quad Showdown
Aroma -- 10 is the winner here, with some complexity coming in the form of cherry to accent to darker fruits you'd expect. Lazarus had the fruits and more breadiness, but also a very unusual savory aroma faintly reminiscent of soy sauce. Did not like.
Appearance -- A push, as they were very similar in color, though Lazarus was slightly murkier. Both poured with slightly less than one finger of head, with little lacing or retention as I drank.
Taste -- Both finished with a slight alcohol burn, but not necessarily off-putting and to be expected given that they are 9.4% and 10% (10 being the 10%er, shocker). 10 delivered some of the cherry that appeared on the nose, but finished with a rather unusual but subtle hint of smoke. I liked it. Lazarus had a faintly more alcoholic flavor despite being a hair smaller, and delivered the standard plum/raisin/fig you would expect from the style. Finished with a toffee-esque flavor I didn't care for. Win goes to 10 on this one.
Mouthfeel -- Both medium-bodied beers, though Lazarus is slightly bigger feeling and also a little more carbed. That being said, 10 has a very pleasing slickness to it, and it coats the mouth nicely. I'm going with 10 here again.
Overall -- 10 seems to be the runaway winner here, and as the beers warm the gap seems wider, at least for me. Both retailed for $10.99, with the caveat that the 10 is a 750 mL bottle vs. Lazarus' bomber. Regardless, after finishing both of these, I'ma be
Gonna go ahead and downvote myself because

I agree with your surmission. Both really good beers. I give the edge to 10. I'm aging one to see how it evolves

I would buy 10 again if I was in the mood. Lazarus...ehhh. Truthfully I just don't care for the style. I have no idea why I did this.

Decent hoppy session beer
Might go with this cajun chicken, the chipotle and guac sound authentic

LBD is the last Ghost of ours. Sucks to get only a 4 pack of it every few months, would gladly buy more if/when I could.

Back home in TX after a great week of fishing and visiting family in LA, including a quick stop at that GOAT manufacturing facility in Broussard.
