Going to New York this weekend, what should I do? More concerned about eating then my personal well being.

Peter Luger steakhouse. Hands down the best steak I've ever had.

I'm going to NYC next week and was going to start this exact thread, so I'll just hijack a little.

Is there any recommendations for solid, nicer places to eat for two people around $100-125?

Gramercy Tavern never disappoints. It's a classic New York haute cuisine restaurant and the service is impeccable. On my most recent trip, I had the duck breast and sausage and I'll never forget it. Incredible.

BO will be here soon too. He can't help but comment in an NYC or Paris thread.

Also, check out the Campbell Apartment in Grand Central Terminal. The Campbell Apartment is a swank bar at 42nd Street in Grand Central. It's historic and lost its lease. It will be closing at the end of this month. Definitely something you don't want to miss.

This place is awesome, and I don't know why. I think the Hershey's company and Dylan's candy are close by.

Go to tao in Vegas, eataly is cool to look around/get lunch and Nobu has locations all over the place.

For Asian go ma peche, Italian scarpetta (or just Yelp around in little Italy tons of great spots), for sushi there are tons of places but I wouldn't get sushi in nyc, you can get just as good of sushi so many other places in the country.

Ate at Gramercy before and it was pretty good. Ate at Eataly (full service restaurant on the first floor) and it was much better than we expected and liked it a lot. So much to choose from.

I second Campbell Apartment. I always stop there when I'm in town. Really cool, quiet bar on the side of the craziness of Grand Central. Really sad to hear that its closing down.

If you're into that, NY has a lot of other speakeasies that are pretty cool to visit. PDT, Back Room, and Angel's Share are all in the same general area. Beauty & Essex is around there too and is a great place to eat dinner and get drinks.

I also second Eataly. Its a really cool little place to walk through if nothing else.

Ess-a-Bagel makes very good sandwiches. There's a long line in the mornings, but it's worth it.

My favorite slice of pizza is right near Penn Station / MSG; it's called NY Pizza Suprema.

I've always been a fan of McSorley's, and my parents noq live relatively close to there, but crowds are getting worse by the year.

Momofuku Noodle Bar is a must-go whenever I'm home. Great Ramen bowl.

Halal Guys and Crif Dogs make great drunk food.

Katz's Deli is also a must-stop when I'm home. You're getting the Pastrami Sandwich.

Also a bunch of other shite that I'm happy to give recommendations on.
