Tonight (Wednesday, Aug. 20) the Esquire Network show Brew Dogs will visit New Orleans and check out Louisiana's craft beer scene. They will be brewing a special Louisiana inspired beer with the good folks at NOLA Brewing.
After that, Best Bars in America will visit New Orleans and they'll be stopping at a bunch of places. They've already visited Molly's at the Market, Buffa's and the Carousel Bar in previous episodes.

Yeah I had seen them do some local bars during there specialty shows but wondered why I never saw a whole show based on N.O. bars.

That's OK. I had really wanted to make the taping of the episode, but it just didn't happen. I had work commitments and my wife had a job interview that day.

I'm curious to see what breweries and bars they spotlight on Brew Dogs. They usually name the top 5 breweries, other than the place they go to, and the top 5 places to get a beer.
I imagine Abita will get some props and Old Rail Brewing -- wonder if Parish is too far away from New Orleans to be mentioned.
As far as places to get a beer, you know they will spotlight The Avenue Pub and The Bulldog, maybe The Chimes in Covington and the Barley Oak.

This. I am sad. I wanted to be there. I don't even get that channel. How will I know if I'm TV famous?

Patton says he's from NOLA, but shite, if I was a comedian in New York, I would tell people I was from New Orleans too.
