Damn if I didn't just have one of the best fricking shrimp po-boys I have had in my 45+ years of eating solid food.

Great food, but don't ever order from there if smelling like stale grease is going to cause any problems in your afternoon ventures. (Including takeout)

Too bad the hours are 9-3 weekdays only.

Between all of the folks who work downtown/get roped into jury duty, that's all the hours they need.

Hamburger is very solid, but not quite the best in town. I haven't tried the shrimp po'boy yet.

I was actually going to get a burger, and then the cook handed me a fried shrimp straight out of the oil. Was so damned good I got the po-boy.

I like to think they call that their "gateway shrimp". I know they've hooked a lot of people that way.

If you want a place with more regular hours, try Po Boy Times on West Chimes. They have an excellent shrimp poboy, fries, and onion rings.

Is that the little place right near the Lyceum Ballroom across the street from the Shaw Center?

Yes. Very much a hole in the wall.
